We have two pools, they are four feet deep and are heated to a warm 92 degrees which
helps beginners feel comfortable and at ease. The environment is non intimidating and
cheerful. We have our own facility here near Lake Otis and Dowling in Anchorage, Alaska.
We have several places for moms and dads to hang out during the lesson. The mezzanine
is located above water level and features a great view of the pool area or you can sit pool
side and catch up on some reading (caution you may get wet).
We have showers, dressing rooms and a beverage area with coffee, tea and cold drinking
water.
We use a salt water system.
Our salt water system is an automatic chlorine generation system for pool sanitation. The
operation requires a low concentration of salt (sodium chloride) in the pool water. These
levels are low enough that it normally will not be tasted. The chlorine generator
automatically sanitizes the pool by converting the salt into free chlorine which kills bacteria.
These reactions will continuously recycle virtually eliminating the need to add sanitizing
chemicals to the pool.
